About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Request for Qualifications (RFQ) REDM2425-06 issued by the Florida Department of Military Affairs (DMA) - Florida Guard. The procurement seeks an Architect-Engineer to provide design and construction services for two aircraft hangars and an administration building at Lakeland Linder International Airport. The project scope includes Hanger 1 at approximately 15,000 square feet, Hanger 2 at approximately 25,000 square feet, and an associated Administration Building of around 5,000 square feet. The budget is $13,000,000, and the project will include security features such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control, CCTV, and key control.

The Q&A document clarifies several key details, including that the budget does not cover additional work for an undetermined airport facility in Northeast Florida, and that the solicitation is specifically seeking an Architect-Engineer to provide all services listed in Section 2 of the RFQ. The project location is definitively confirmed as Lakeland Linder International Airport at 3900 Don Emerson Drive in Lakeland, Florida. Respondents are required to submit their qualifications physically (not via email) as specified in Section 8 of the RFQ, and the ultimate project timeline will be established by the Construction Team. The procurement emphasizes that firms should report their qualifications based on the client, not the funding source, and no specific timeline for bidding or construction has been predetermined.
