About this file
The document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) response form for RFQ-REDM2425-03, issued by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) for Architectural-Engineering Services in the South Region. The solicitation seeks qualified firms to provide architectural and engineering services through a continuing contract, with responses due by March 13, 2025. Presentations will be conducted via Teams Meeting on April 24, 2025, with a contract start date of May 13, 2025. Firms are expected to demonstrate their internal capabilities and identify potential subcontracted services needed during project execution, with DMS typically using the architectural firm as the primary design contract.
The procurement does not require prior DMS project experience and allows firms to simultaneously hold both architectural-engineering and construction management continuing contracts. LEED certification will be project-dependent, and interviews/presentations will be conducted electronically. The South Region covers multiple counties in southern Florida, as illustrated in the accompanying map. The solicitation is not required to comply with the Florida Statute 295.187 Veteran Opportunity Act, and firms are encouraged to participate regardless of previous state agency work. Key evaluation criteria will likely include office location, work volume, current workload, staff experience, and design capabilities.
