About this file
This is a Question and Answer document from the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) regarding RFQ-REDM2425-03 for Architectural-Engineering Services in the South Region. The document clarifies that presentations will be conducted via Teams Meeting, LEED certification requirements will be project-dependent, and DMS typically uses the architectural firm as the primary design contract. The South Region coverage area is shown on an attached map highlighting counties in southern Florida. Under this continuing contract, selected firms may be tasked with multiple projects having varying needs and requirements.
Responding firms should indicate their internal team capabilities and identify which services would need to be subcontracted during construction. Prior DMS project experience is not required to qualify, and firms can simultaneously hold both A&E and Construction Management continuing contracts. The procurement is not required to comply with Florida Statute 295.187 Veteran Opportunity Act. The map provided shows the South Region encompasses counties in southern Florida, colored in purple and light blue, including major counties like Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, and surrounding areas.
