About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (Agency) for the procurement of one (1) new Kawasaki Mule SX, or equal, side by side utility vehicle with the Kawasaki Mule SX Utility Package, or equal. The Agency intends to award a single contract, by way of Purchase Order, for the selected product. Vendors are allowed to submit multiple quotes due to supply chain challenges, and the Agency will review equivalent products based on factors such as cost, specifications, brand dealer network, service availability, and ability to meet the Agency's needs. The quote is due by 2:00 PM PST on November 17, 2021, and the Agency will accept quotes for several other Kawasaki Mule models as acceptable substitutes.

The pricing must be held firm for 30 days or until unit delivery. The Agency will award the contract to the offeror whose quote or proposal will best serve the Agency's interests, taking into account price as well as other considerations such as experience, expertise, product functionality, suitability for the intended purpose, and contractor responsibility. The related state and local contract opportunity involves the procurement of the side by side utility vehicle for Marion County and the City of Salem.
