About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for the installation of a new fence at the Illinois Veterans' Home - LaSalle. The requested fence is 8 feet high, curved at the top to prevent people from entering the facility, and 50 feet long from east to west and 10 feet long from north to south, with a 4-foot swinging gate that can be locked. The vendor is responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation, as well as the removal and hauling away of the existing 5-foot-high steel fence. A voluntary walkthrough for vendors will be held on December 5, 2018, and the vendor must agree to partial shipment in case of delays. The winning vendor will be selected based on the lowest total bid.
The RFQ stipulates that all quotes must include shipping, and the prices quoted must be valid for 180 days. No price increases will be accepted, and the agency reserves the right to reject all offers or individual offers for failure to meet any requirement. The vendor must ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and provide a 1-year warranty for labor and the manufacturer's warranty on the fence.
