About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for the purchase and installation of motorized retractable awnings at their facility in LaSalle, Illinois. The RFQ specifies the required quantities, dimensions, and locations for the awnings, which include four awnings at the front entrance and one awning in the northeast courtyard. The work must be completed by March 31, 2022, and a mandatory site visit and walkthrough is scheduled for August 10, 2021. Vendors are required to provide a 1-year warranty on the labor and materials for the project.

The RFQ outlines the pricing and submission requirements, including the need for vendors to be bonded and insured, and for all quoted prices to remain valid for 180 days. The agency reserves the right to reject any or all offers, and the contract will be awarded to the vendor with the lowest total bid. The RFQ also includes information about prevailing wage requirements and the use of brand names, indicating that "or equal" submissions will not be rejected due to minor differences in design or features.
