About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Request for Quote (RFQ) S-62900-00015047 issued by the Oregon Department of Forestry for GNA Calloway Heritage Surveys in the Willamette National Forest. The project involves conducting cultural resource surveys across 800 total acres, with 520 acres designated as high probability and 280 acres as low probability for cultural resources. The survey is split into two project areas: the TSB project area (220 high probability, 150 low probability acres) and the Wolf project area (300 high probability, 130 low probability acres). The quote submission deadline has been extended to October 22nd, 2025.

The document reveals that six precontact cultural resources comprised of lithic materials have been identified in the project areas, consisting of three isolates and three sites. Sensitive location details will be provided directly to the awarded contractor. The project is a state contract, and at the time of this Q&A, no adverse effects to the project timeline were anticipated, including potential impacts from a government shutdown. The RFQ seeks a contractor to perform comprehensive heritage surveys across the specified acreage in the Willamette National Forest, with specific attention to high and low probability areas for cultural resource identification.
