About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Agriculture for the purchase of four (4) air conditioning units to replace antiquated systems in the Veterinary Offices and Building #132 - HVAC Section. The RFQ outlines the specifications for the required units, including two (2) 36,000 BTU/H wall-mounted heat pump systems, two (2) 30,000 BTU/H multi-indoor inverter heat-pump systems, two (2) 18,000 BTU/H wall-mounted indoor multi-zone heat pump systems, and two (2) 12,000 BTU/H wall-mounted indoor multi-zone pump systems. All units must carry a minimum one-year warranty. The RFQ requires vendors to specify whether they can meet the mandatory requirements and provide a vendor narrative. The deadline for submitting quotes is February 28, 2020, and the award will go to the lowest-cost vendor who can meet all specifications and requirements.

The RFQ states that equivalent brands will be considered, provided that descriptive literature and specifications accompany the bid. Pricing must be valid for 90 days from the date of submission and include shipping and handling charges. No price increases will be accepted, and the agency reserves the right to reject all offers, reject individual offers for failure to meet requirements, award by item or group, and waive minor defects. The availability of appropriation and sufficiency of funds are contingent upon the State's budget, and the vendor may suspend or terminate the agreement in the event of a funding failure.
