About this file
This is Addendum #1 to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by Mecklenburg County for HVAC Commissioning Services on Multiple Projects, released on October 9, 2026. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding acceptable professional certifications and submission requirements for the qualification packages. The original RFQ, dated October 8, 2026, established an inquiry deadline of October 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The solicitation covers HVAC commissioning services for two projects: the Hal Center and the Revolution Park Sports Academy HVAC replacement. Firms are permitted to submit one combined Statement of Qualifications package for both projects rather than separate submissions, with the option to include two separate project teams on distinct forms within a single SOQ.
The addendum clarifies that while the original RFQ specified three preferred certifications—CPMP (ASHRAE), CxAP/CAP (University of Wisconsin-Madison), and CxA (ABC Commissioning Group)—Mecklenburg County will accept additional commissioning certifications including CCP (ANSI National Accreditation Board), EBCP (Association of Energy Engineers), and CBCP (Association of Energy Engineers). Prospective contractors must indicate their project selections on the Form 1 - Qualification Package Cover Sheet located on page 15 of the original RFQ document.
