About this file
This addendum to RFQ 426528 addresses frequently asked questions regarding wastewater lift station repair services for the City of Oakland's Public Works Department, Sewer Division in California. The RFQ seeks repair services for thirteen wastewater lift stations throughout the city, including maintenance and repair of submersible Flygt pumps, control panels, piping, float switches, and associated components. The contractor must provide technicians available during regular business hours and on-call seven days per week with a mandatory one-hour response time for after-hours, weekend, and emergency calls. The awarded contract will be for an initial two-year term with an option to extend for an additional one-year period, with a not-to-exceed total amount of $250,000.00.
Regarding technician qualifications, Flygt/Xylem factory certification is preferred but documented experience repairing Flygt/Xylem lift station pumps and related equipment will be accepted. Bidders must submit proposed hourly labor rates, overtime labor rates, and miscellaneous charges with the preference that these rates remain fixed throughout the entire two-year contract term; however, if rate adjustments are necessary for the second year, the City requires 60-day notification of new prices. No dedicated technician standby coverage is required, and no estimated annual usage data regarding anticipated service calls, labor hours, or historical after-hours calls has been provided by the City at this time.
