About this file

This is Addendum 1 to Request for Quotation 426528 issued by the City of Oakland, California's Public Works Department, Sewer Division, for wastewater lift station repair services. The City seeks repair services for thirteen wastewater lift stations throughout Oakland, including maintenance and repair of submersible Flygt pumps, control panels, piping, float switches, and associated components. Technicians must be available during regular business hours and on-call seven days per week with a mandatory 1-hour response time for after-hours, weekend, and emergency calls. No dedicated standby technician is required; contractors need only respond within the specified timeframe. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for an additional one-year period at the City's sole discretion, not to exceed a total of $250,000.

Pricing must include hourly labor rates, overtime labor rates, and miscellaneous charges with a detailed breakdown in all quotes, pro-forma invoices, and final invoices reflecting current market rate pricing for materials. The City prefers fixed rates throughout the entire contract term; however, if rate adjustments are necessary in year two, contractors must provide 60 days' notice of new pricing. While Flygt/Xylem factory certification for technicians is preferred, documented experience repairing Flygt/Xylem lift station pumps and related equipment is acceptable. No estimated annual usage or service call projections are available at this time.
