The contract seeks a qualified contractor to provide ergonomic evaluations and training services for employees at VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) across 12 facilities: one medical center (Sacramento Mather) and 11 outpatient clinics located in Butte, Stanislaus, Alameda-Contra Costa, Shasta, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter-Yuba, Calaveras-Tuolumne, and surrounding counties. The base period runs from November 15, 2026, through November 14, 2027, with two optional one-year extension periods. The estimated budget is $12.5 million. The contract is 100% set aside for small business and utilizes a Firm-Fixed-Price structure. The solicitation number is 36C26127Q0068 with an offer due date of October 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST. Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears through the VA's Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment System via Tungsten Network.
The Performance Work Statement requires the contractor to conduct individual ergonomic workstation evaluations and provide one-on-one training on proper posture, ergonomic best practices, and injury prevention strategies. The contractor must perform approximately 250 assessments annually across the 12 sites, responding to evaluation requests within four weeks. Key personnel must have at least five years of ergonomics or related professional experience and possess nationally recognized certification. Deliverables include written reports for each evaluation (in Microsoft Word format) detailing observations, findings, recommendations, cost-effective product suggestions from GSA catalogs, and pre/post-assessment photographs, plus monthly invoices listing individual evaluations by site. The contractor must communicate monthly with the Contracting Officer's Representative and conduct monthly meetings at either Mather or Martinez locations. Department of Labor wage determination schedules apply for nine California counties. All service delivery is included in the fixed-price bid with no separate travel charges.
