DESCRIPTION

The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center has a requirement for a one-time Steam Pipe Inspection located in a tunnel using a crawler robot. The existing Steam Pipe is currently servicing the campus outer buildings. The steam pipe has developed several leaks, and need to be examined, so repairs can be made. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, and supervision to inspect approximately 2000 feet of existing steam pipes and the condensation of the return pipe located in an underground tunnel. The inspection shall be completed using an advance robotic crawler that can provide photos and videos of the existing conditions and leaks. The contractor does not need access inside the steam tunnel for the inspection. At the completion of the inspection, the contractor shall provide a detailed report of the findings to include photos, videos, locations of the areas and leaks. The contractor shall provide recommendations for the repairs.
