About this file

This document is a bid amendment for Request for Quote (RFQ) 2502 SPPR, which is being issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology's Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Program. The purpose of this RFQ is to purchase two multi-unit, multi-parameter remote air monitoring systems known as the AreaRAE Rapid Deployment Kit. This amendment provides answers to vendor questions regarding the bid price sheet, configuration options, and sensor options for the requested equipment. The original bid due date of September 30, 2024 by 5:00 PM remains unchanged.

The bid price sheet lists "estimated quantities" which refer to the anticipated number of units required. Bidders are to use these estimated quantities to calculate the "Total Extend Cost" by multiplying the unit bid price. The requested configuration includes O2/LEL/CO/H2S/Cl2/NH3/PID ppb sensors, no gamma option, and ISM Radio + Mesh + Wi-Fi wireless capabilities. The appropriate sensor option is "H" for the NH3 Ammonia sensor.

RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS:

1. Vendor Question: On page 8, the Bid Price Sheet: What does the “estimated quantities with the 2 in the box” mean?

Ecology Response: “Estimated Quantities” refers to the anticipated number of units required for this bid. For example, if the bid price sheet lists an estimated quantity of two (2) units of a particular item, bidders will use this number to calculate the “Total Extend Cost” by multiplying it by their unit bid price.

2. Vendor Question: On page 8, the Bid Price Sheet: What does “extend” mean in the Total Cost section.

Ecology Response: “Total Extend Cost” refers to the total cost of a specific line item, calculated by multiplying the unit bid price by the estimated quantities of that item.

3. Vendor Question: Which configuration option is appropriate for the product:

Option 1: O2/LEL/CO/H2S/PID ppb Option 2: O2/LEL/CO/H2S/Cl2/NH3/PID ppb Ecology Response: Option 2 – O2/LEL/CO/H2S/Cl2/NH3/PID ppb.

4. Vendor Question: Which configuration option is appropriate for the product:

Option 1: No Gamma Option 2: With Gamma

Ecology Response: Option 1 – No Gamma

5. Vendor Question: Which wireless configuration option is appropriate for the product:

Option 1: ISM Radio + Mesh Option 2: ISM Radio + Mesh + Wi-Fi

Ecology Response: Option 2 – ISM Radio + Mesh + Wi-Fi

6. Vendor Question: Which sensor option is appropriate for the product:

Option 1: “G” for HCN sensor Option 2: “H” for the NH3 Ammonia sensor

Ecology Response: Option 2 – “H” for the NH3 Ammonia sensor.

End of Amendment NOTICE: Bidders are encouraged to continue checking WEBS for any other amendments.
