Addendum 1
RFQ/LOI # 2025-12
ARPA Farragut Fiber Optic Cable Implementation CEI

Question 1: Will the project documentation and gathering comply with current Tennessee Department of Transportation standards?
Response 1: Yes, the CEI is expected to follow the TDOT processes and documentation guidelines and standards.
Question 2: Will the Town of Farragut require the CEI consultant to address any anticipated utility conflicts or coordination issues?
Response 2: The CEI consultant will coordinate with the utility provides to address conflicts and finalize utility make ready (UMR). The design consultant has already contacted LCUB and franchise owners on the utility poles.
Question 3: The special notes indicate modifications to curb ramps, yet there is no item number associated with concrete curb ramps. Is the Town of Farragut planning for curb ramp modifications?
Response 3: Curb ramps are not anticipated to be replaced. If installation of fiber requires the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, a change order will be issued.
Question 4: Will the materials testing adhere to TDOT Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) 1-1 for all tests related to the installation of project quantities?
Response 4: Yes, materials testing shall follow TDOT standard operating procedures.
Question 5: Is there an RFQ available for download? When you click download, it doesn’t seem to have document.
Response 5: The RFP for construction is #2025-08 and still available for download on Vendorlink and the Town website.
Question 5: Will there be any restrictions on construction hours?
Response 5: Some of these areas are in school zones. It is preferred that during those times, there isn’t a disruption in traffic flow due to construction work. This will be discussed with the awarded consultant and awarded contactor during the pre-construction meeting.
