About this file
This document is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Insurance Brokerage Services issued by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) with RFP Number 2000003946. The informational meeting is scheduled for April 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., targeting insurance brokerage service providers. The primary objective is to identify and qualify insurance brokers who can assist LAUSD contractors and vendors in obtaining various insurance coverages, including Commercial Automobile Liability, Commercial General Liability, Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Property, and Sexual Abuse and Molestation Insurance.
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) process requires interested brokers to submit a comprehensive proposal demonstrating their capability to serve LAUSD's insurance needs. Brokers must be licensed in California, provide proof of insurance coverage, and comply with California Department of Insurance regulations. The narrative submission is limited to 5 pages and must include firm qualifications, key personnel details, litigation disclosures, and a list of potential insurance carriers. LAUSD emphasizes that selected brokers will be independent contractors who directly engage with vendors to obtain insurance pricing and coverage, with LAUSD maintaining a hands-off approach to the selection process. The brokers will be listed on the Risk Finance website, enabling contractors to connect with them independently.
