About this file
This is an Amendment to Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Standard Form 30) issued by the Department of State's American Embassy Kathmandu on June 9, 2026, with an effective date of June 9, 2026. The amendment modifies RFQ-19NP4026Q0018 to update the Statement of Work (SOW) for the Tourism Tech Innovation Program to incorporate outcomes from the Ascent Summit 2026 project. All remaining terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
The SOW describes a comprehensive program where the selected vendor will design, manage, and implement a Tourism Tech Innovation Program that builds on the Ascent Summit 2026 outcomes. The vendor must provide full program design, coordination, execution, and reporting across six major components: (1) Program Continuity and Design—reviewing Summit outputs and designing a follow-on program advancing at least three priority collaboration areas; (2) U.S. Technology Deployment—utilizing commercial U.S. technologies for terrain mapping, environmental monitoring, and disaster response with live or simulated demonstrations; (3) Commercial Pathways—facilitating structured engagements between U.S. and Nepali companies to develop at least three pilot projects or commercial agreements; (4) Stakeholder Engagement—re-engaging Ascent Summit participants and coordinating with Nepal's Government; (5) Program Management and Communications—assigning a project manager and developing communications products highlighting U.S. technology leadership; and (6) Sponsorship Coordination—identifying and securing private sector sponsors from technology companies, telecom firms, UAV providers, outdoor brands, and travel operators. The program will be delivered as a one-day intensive forum in Kathmandu (October–November 2026) with optional field-based demonstrations in tourism regions including Everest and Annapurna. Evaluation criteria require vendors to demonstrate: experience sourcing or deploying relevant U.S. commercial technologies; proven experience converting prior stakeholder engagement into concrete pilots or partnerships; strong track record facilitating commercial partnerships and business-to-business collaboration; minimum five years' experience in tourism, environmental management, disaster preparedness, remote operations, or high-altitude logistics in Nepal; capacity for end-to-end program execution; ability to engage U.S. and Nepali private sector partners; and ability to produce measurable results with documented references.
