The project scope requires the supply and turn-key installation of twelve sliding windows with Low-E glass, argon gas insulation, and screens to enclose the picnic pavilion. The windows must meet specific laminated glass requirements including hurricane-resistant properties, superior thermal performance, and UV light blocking capabilities (99.9% UV blockage). The work includes all miscellaneous break metal at columns, installation of setting blocks, epoxy compound, and finishes to ensure proper sealing. A pre-bid meeting was scheduled for Friday, July 22, 2016, at 8:00 AM at the Marydia Substation Pavilion. Quotations were required to be physically received by the KUA Finance and Administration Department at 1701 W. Carroll Street, Kissimmee, Florida, by Friday, July 29, 2016, at 3:00 PM local time. The quotation period was valid for ninety days from opening, and the contractor was required to provide a ten-year warranty on the laminated glass from the date of installation.

Quotations were submitted on KUA-provided forms and could be faxed to (407) 932-3286 or emailed to purchasing@kua.com under a FOB Destination delivery term, with all transportation charges paid by the supplier. The award was to be given to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter based on pricing structure, response time, quality of workmanship, contractor capabilities and experience, financial capability, and exceptions to KUA's standard terms and conditions. The contractor was required to obtain all necessary building permits from Osceola County and other governmental entities, maintain comprehensive insurance coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 combined single limit for general liability and automobile liability, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, EPA, Florida Building Code (2014), and ANSI/ASTM standards.
