Answers to Additional Questions Raised at the Pre-Proposal Conference

1. Given your 20 percent restriction on the expansion, would the BOP allow the proposed expansion greater than 20 percent of the existing square footage if a record of decision has been completed by a sister federal agency for an EIS by the time of contract award?

Answer: It depends. If the “purpose and needs” section of the environmental assessment is the same, no cap exists for expansion/renovation. Therefore, those offerors that would like the BOP to consider a completed EIS by a sister agency for this solicitation must submit their “purpose and needs” documentation to Heather Greiner at hgriener@bop.gov.

2. Will the BOP consider a two week extension on the due date for proposals?

Answer: Yes, we are granting a two week extension for the due date of proposals and will file an amendment indicating so. This will make the new due date for proposals, August 8 , 2006. th mailto:hgriener@bop.gov.
