About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for Request for Proposal (RFP) S-62900-00013119 issued by the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) for a Type 1 Twin-Turbine Powered Helicopter. The addendum modifies multiple sections of the original RFP, including the title to specifically reference a "Twin-Turbine Powered Helicopter" and updates various sections related to pilot requirements, helicopter specifications, and contract terms. Key modifications include clarifications about pilot qualifications, specifically noting different requirements for Type 1 K-Max helicopters versus other Type 1 helicopters, and adjustments to sections covering pilot desirable features, minimum qualifications, and contract performance expectations.

The addendum revises attachments and sections to provide more precise language about helicopter and pilot specifications, with particular attention to pilot certification, relief pilot protocols, and mechanical support requirements. Changes impact Attachments B through I, including updates to the Helicopter Pilot Summary, Pilot Desirable Features, and Checklist sections. The modifications aim to provide greater clarity for potential proposers about the exact requirements for the wildfire protection helicopter services, including specifics about pilot credentials, duty time limitations, and relief crew provisions. The document maintains the original procurement's focus on securing a highly capable helicopter with qualified personnel for wildfire management operations in Oregon.
