About this file
This is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) brochure issued by the City of Orlando, Florida, detailing mental health and support services available to benefit-eligible employees and their dependents. The City has contracted with Resources for Living to deliver comprehensive EAP services including professional counseling, crisis intervention, work/life support, and referral services. The program provides benefit-eligible city employees, their household members, and dependents up to age 26 with access to seven free counseling sessions per concern per calendar year through multiple service delivery methods including virtual therapy, in-person counseling, and text-based therapy. Services are delivered through partnerships with Alma (offering online booking of virtual or in-person therapy with over 1,200 counselors), Talkspace (text and virtual messaging therapy), and city-assigned counselors. The brochure emphasizes 24/7 access via phone at 1.800.272.7252 or through ResourcesForLiving.com using the username and access code ORL, with consultations available to help clients identify appropriate therapists before beginning billable sessions.
The program encompasses additional benefits beyond counseling, including the Mind Companion digital self-care platform offering evidence-based support for substance use, stress management, sleep, and anger management; free legal consultation services providing 30-minute consultations and 25 percent discounts on continued legal services; free legal forms for healthcare planning, estate planning, and financial documentation; and financial wellness programs with unlimited financial consultations. For employees with the City's UHC insurance, supplemental benefits include access to UHC EAP with three additional free counseling sessions, virtual behavior coaching over eight weeks, and the Calm Health App for mental health support. Police and Fire departments have access to specialized first responder counselors and UCF Restores, a nationally recognized trauma treatment program for first responders. All services are provided at no cost to eligible employees and their families, with access credentials and enrollment information managed through the EAP provider's online portal.

Free Legal Forms
No one plans to be in an accident. Planning for the future can make all the difference in an emergency or at the end of life.
Being prepared and keeping important documents in one place can give you peace of mind, help ensure your wishes are honored and ease the burden on your loved ones.
Your free legal library includes many forms, with the most common listed below. Simply fill in the blanks and have them notarized.
1. Plan for your future health care with advance directives that provide medical care instructions if you can’t communicate.
• Living will: how you want to be treated if you cannot make your own decisions about emergency treatment.
• Designation of health care surrogate: also known as health care power of attorney, to make medical decisions for you if you are unable to do so.
2. Plan for your children, pets, property and finances
• Durable power of attorney: names someone to make financial decisions for you.
• Will: specifies how children, pets, property and assets (estate) will be distributed after your death, including end-of-life arrangements. It can include funerals, burial or cremation. Without one, your estate will be distributed according to state law.
3. Keep your important papers and copies of legal documents in one place.
4. Tell someone you trust—or your lawyer—where to find them.
5. Share your decisions with loved ones to avoid surprises or misunderstandings.
6. Review your plans regularly. Revisit them at least once a year or after major life events, such as divorce, a move, or a serious health change.
Note: It is recommended that you consult with an attorney to ensure your plans meet your personal and financial needs.
