About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Floyd County Board of Education (FCBOE) in Rome, Georgia, for the procurement of copy paper. The solicitation (RFP25-070) seeks 5,040 cases of standard letter-size (8-1/2" x 11") white copy paper, with specifications including 20# weight, 92+ brightness, packaged as 10 reams of 500 sheets per case. Key dates include a July 11, 2025 deadline for submitting questions, a July 16, 2025 deadline for sample submissions, and a September 15, 2025 target for initial delivery. The FCBOE reserves the right to award the contract to one or multiple vendors based on factors including price, availability, past vendor experience, and bid compliance.

The solicitation emphasizes domestic paper sourcing and includes detailed terms for bid submission, evaluation, and contract award. Pricing will be assessed on a per-case basis, with vendors required to provide both primary and alternate manufacturer brand options. The FCBOE has structured the procurement to allow flexibility in vendor selection, with provisions for awarding by line item to multiple vendors and the ability to negotiate pricing for large quantity orders. The contract includes options for renewal, contingent on agreement between the successful bidder(s) and the FCBOE. Notably, the document specifies that purchases are tax-exempt and that vendors must meet specific submission requirements, including completing a vendor questionnaire and reference sheet.
