Please see schedule below.
Sewer Camera System
NUB’s proposed schedule for this Project is as follows:
A. Contractor invitation on March 26, 2025.
B. Bid opening at 2:00pm on April 9, 2025 at Purchasing Office, Operations Center Newport, TN 37821.
C. Notice of award, after bids are evaluated and Board approval during February meeting.
Each Bid must be submitted to: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/tennessee/newportutilities
It is the intent of this proposal is to supply Newport Utilities with a premium reliable inspection system, to last for many years. The RapidView IBAK inspection system or equivalent comes standard with many advanced features that aid in making operation simple.
Anti-Tilt Compensation o This feature not only detects when your tractor is not riding in the bottom of the pipe, and automatically corrects it for you keeping the camera tractor in the ideal position and protecting it from rolling over.
Auto Upright o The Camera’s come with an auto-up righting or self-leveling feature standard allowing the operator to focus on the pipe and not constantly adjusting equipment, improving the overall inspection.
Air charged o The system is charged with air, no nitrogen or Co2 to purchase.
Built in safety with Air Pressure detection o If the system is low on air, it automatically alerts the operator with a visible alert at the controller and an audible tone. This feature also will shut the lights off on the tractor to discourage using the system when there is the potential of moisture ingress.
Truly Synchronized Reel o The only reel that detects the slack in the line and will not let the tractor back over the cable. NO knob or dials to adjust just use the system and it takes care of you.
This specification is a guideline of preferred requirements that Newport Utilities is indicating are minimum desired features. While reviewing the specification it is imperative that you carefully and clearly indicate a yes or no response to each line. You must utilize integrity while indicating features while doing so, failure to accurately indicate correct information will cause the bidder to be disqualified. It is not the intent of Newport Utilities to enter into a business relationship with a company or organization that is willing to start the relationship deceptively.
A “No” response in “NOT” an automatic negative or may not lead to the bidder being disqualified, we would encourage each bidder to add comparative information or justifications for each “No” on a separate sheet. We realize different manufactures utilize different technologies. We will do our best to determine if the features align and give the same desired benefit.
All the equipment shall be manufactured ISO9001 verified facility.
ISO 9001 specifies the requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements. The ISO9001certification signifies a global benchmark in customer satisfaction, product quality, and leads to significant reduction in defect levels. The standard recognizes that the word "product" applies to services, processed material, hardware and software intended for, or required by your customer.
