This is an RFP Questions and Answers document for the City of Donalsonville, Georgia, related to a 2026 Wireless Upgrade RFP (Event ID: PE-72555-NONST-2026-000000007). The City is soliciting proposals from Internet Service Providers and vendors to deploy Fixed Wireless broadband to homes and businesses throughout Donalsonville and surrounding areas. The project requires vendors to provide a turnkey solution that includes installation and maintenance of subscriber units, installation of fiber optics communication links connecting base stations, and responsible procurement of all required Federated Wireless licenses and subscriptions. The City has identified three tank locations and one tower location available for base station installation, with vendors expected to address interconnectivity between base stations in their proposals. The installation footprint encompasses the City of Donalsonville and surrounding areas, with the distance covered and total number of locations served serving as evaluation factors.

All costs associated with the wireless upgrade project, including vendor installation services, equipment maintenance, fiber optic installation, site climbs, and licensing fees, are the sole responsibility of the vendor, establishing this as a complete turnkey operation. The RFP evaluation process will consider coverage distance and the total number of locations covered as grading criteria, indicating that vendor proposals demonstrating greater geographic reach and service area expansion will be prioritized in the selection process.
