About this file
This document is an Addendum to Request for Proposal (RFP) 239-024-001 / eVA 60212 for Security Services for the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia. The agency will be providing security staff with cell phones and utility carts/vehicles for patrols. The bond required is the standard insurance certificate bond, not an individual bond per officer. The agency currently does not require a tour device, but may revisit this in the future. Security officers will accompany staff on cash deposits to the adjacent Administration building, but will not go off-site. The RFP identification number to use is 239-024-001. The agency is not requiring additional individual bonds beyond the standard insurance and Department of Criminal Justice Services requirements. Security officers are to observe and report only, and will not be armed or able to physically restrain individuals. The agency has not recently required additional security officers and does not anticipate any special events during the 24-month construction period starting in 2024. The current security provider is Admiral Security, who has provided service for 5 years. The current pay rate is $20.50 per hour for captain and officers. Rate increases are handled annually based on the CPI-other services index.
