About this file

This document is a response to clarifying questions for Request for Proposals (RFP) #2024-02 for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Supplies and Services issued by CareOregon, Inc. on behalf of its Housecall Providers Services LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary. The RFP is focused solely on DME services, and vendors are not permitted to include medical supplies in their proposals at this time. Vendors can provide a general list of brands and discounts, but a website link alone is not an acceptable response. Proposers should list hourly or fixed rates for installation services, as each situation will have variable costs. The DME items will not be purchased through insurance.

The RFP covers the jurisdictions of Multnomah County and the City of Portland, Oregon. No information is provided on set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or contract term and renewal options.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS #2024-02

DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS #1

FEBRUARY 22, 2024

Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to the above referenced solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the RFP as published.

1. Can a vendor submit their proposal only on DME, and not on Medical Supplies?

Answer: For this RFP we are currently focusing on DME services, medical supplies should not be part of the proposal. Supplies may be considered in the future but currently not part of this solicitation.

2. Are vendors allowed to submit a list of brands with discount percentages as per the category listed? We can provide the brand links available on our website.

Answer: Proposals should have a general list/description of brands and discounts for the items listed in the RFP and then may have a reference to a website for additional information. A link to a website alone is not a complete and acceptable response to the RFP.

3. For supplies such as installation, can we provide a quotation along with the item when the client is ready to purchase the item. Would this be acceptable?

Answer: Proposers should list the general hourly rates or fixed rates for installation services.

We understand that each situation would have many variables for installation costs.

4. Will the item categories listed be purchased through insurance?

Answer: No.
