The RFP (Number 23-09) seeks a qualified auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive financial statement audit covering the entire financial entity, including a component unit (Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School), with a single audit required. The proposal opening date is March 30, 2023, at 3:00 PM, and the contract is potentially renewable for up to four years. The district requires the entire draft audit report, including any audit findings, to be completed and submitted three weeks prior to the State Auditor's established deadline, with preliminary work potentially beginning before June 30 of the fiscal year.

The subsequent agreement is considered a firm fixed-price contract, with the fee schedule remaining constant and inclusive of all charges. The district offers an 8% preference for resident New Mexico businesses and a 10% preference for resident veteran-owned businesses. Proposers must submit a Campaign Contribution Disclosure Form and comply with state procurement regulations, with the final contract award contingent upon budgeting and appropriation of funds.
