The RFP number is 386947RLP, issued September 23, 2026, with proposals due by 5:00 PM CDT on October 8, 2026. The procurement is managed by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science under Prime Contract No. 89243024CSC000002. One unit is required with firm-fixed pricing and F.O.B. Fermilab delivery terms; all freight charges must be included in the quotation. Payment terms are Net 30. Units will ship to Fermilab Receiving Warehouse 2 located at Kirk Rd and Wilson St, Batavia, Illinois 60510.

The Portable Video Borescope System must meet detailed technical specifications including a lithium ion battery-powered hand-set with touch-sensitive screen, computing platform for live analytics, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, at least 120 GB internal memory, specific USB and HDMI ports, and interchangeable probes of 6.1 mm diameter or less with at least 3 meters length. The system requires 3D measurement capability using phase measurement technology with accuracy of less than 0.05 mm and must include multiple optical tips for forward and side viewing with specified field of view and depth of field ranges, including close-focus and far-focus configurations. Award will be made on a best value basis to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror. FFDG intends to award without discussions. Proposals must include a completed RFP page, SARC Form (Subcontractor Annual Reps & Certs Rev. 8), and PUR-466 Form (Proposal Certifications Rev. 5 dated 10/14/2025).
