About this file
This is Addendum 1 to RFP #21-046R issued by the City of Albany, Georgia, for gunshot detection technology services. The addendum modifies the original proposal closing date from June 6, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to June 13, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. The contract is structured as a firm price agreement for one year with two one-year renewal options available under Georgia Law O.C.G.A 36-60-13. The solution area is geographically defined by W. Highland Ave. to the north, the Flint River to the east, W. Oakridge Dr. to the south, and S. Slappey Blvd. to the west. The City of Albany Procurement Division, located at Suite 260, 222 Pine Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701, will receive sealed proposals from qualified firms.
The addendum addresses key questions regarding infrastructure readiness and existing systems. The City currently uses a Milestone Video Management System for downtown cameras but has no existing gunshot detection technology integration. The current wireless backhaul system is at capacity and requires upgrading, though the extent of existing fiber and mesh network infrastructure in the solution area is unknown and will require further assessment by TAC and Utilities departments. All proposers must acknowledge receipt of this addendum with their submittal and comply with Georgia's Drug Free Workplace Act requirements and federal debarment certification standards. Questions regarding the RFP should be directed to Joshua Williams at (229) 431-3211.

ADDENDUM NO. 1
The items contained in this addendum are added to and/or deleted and become part of the specifications and scope of work for the above referenced request for proposal.
Questions and Answers:
1. What are the exact borders for the solution area? Answer: The northern border is W. Highland Ave., the eastern border is the Flint River, the Southern border is W. Oakridge Dr. and the western border is S. Slappey Blvd.
2. Is there any infrastructure currently in place in the solution area? (i.e., fiber runs, mesh network). Answer: Unknown how extensive that infrastructure is. We may have to build it out. TAC and Utilities will have better answers.
3. Is there an existing VMS? Answer: APD uses Milestone Video Management System for their downtown cameras. To our knowledge there is no integration with any gunshot detection technology. From a infrastructure standpoint, the current cameras rely on wireless backhaul. This system is at capacity and needs to be upgraded. The City also has fiber infrastructure around the City.
