The project is a turnkey installation including all equipment, components, labor, and training necessary to remove existing Starcall equipment and install fully functioning Carehawk CH1000 Intercom Systems with 911 interface capability. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit was required on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM (EST), with attendance and sign-in at all three locations mandatory for bid consideration. The original deadline for questions was Friday, November 13, 2026, at Noon (EST), and sealed proposals were due by 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, submitted to Joni Huchzermeier, Purchasing Agent, at the Henderson County Public Schools main office. The project completion deadline is June 15, 2027, with all work scheduled outside regular school hours when students are not present. Two addenda were issued during the solicitation period, with Addendum 02 providing clarifications on attendance requirements, deadlines, and system specifications.
The RFP specifies that Henderson County Public Schools will issue one purchase order listing each school site separately with corresponding bid pricing, and payment will be made within 30 days of satisfactory completion and approval by the Director of Facilities, Chad Dillon.
