About this file

This document is Addendum 2 to RFP 2024-0001 issued by the Isle of Wight County School District in Virginia. The RFP solicits proposals for network and data center hardware, managed services, structured cabling, network switching hardware, wireless access points, IP cameras, security systems, and access control systems. The RFP requires compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes, and the successful offeror must possess all necessary licenses and permits. The school district is open to an OPEX managed service model for switches and access points, but a managed solution is not specifically requested. Attendees of the pre-proposal conference were provided data on the current network infrastructure. While an extension to the January 12, 2024 proposal due date may be granted if warranted, the school district has indicated that an extension will only be provided if there is a demonstrated need.

Pricing and funding details are not provided in the addendum. The RFP does not mention any set-asides, incumbents, or specific funding sources. The addendum focuses on addressing questions related to licensing requirements, managed service options, and infrastructure details provided to pre-proposal conference attendees.

RFP 2024-0001

Addendum 2 – eVA

1. Does the school division require a DCJS cer7fica7on to work on security solu7ons provided as a response to this RFP?

As discussed in RFP sec7on 5.14: Successful Offeror shall comply with all federal, state and local statutes, ordinances, and regula7ons now in effect or hereaKer adopted, in the performance of this contract. Successful Offeror represents that it possesses all necessary licenses and permits required to conduct its business and/or will acquire any addi7onal licenses and permits necessary for performance of this contract prior to the ini7a7on of work.

2. For the switches and wireless access points, is the School District open to an OPEX managed service model with a monthly charge that includes hardware, licensing, maintenance, support, and 4-hour onsite repair? The School District would NOT purchase/own the switches and access points under this model.

Offeror can submit on anything they wish towards the end goal design, a managed solution is not specifically requested in the particular RFP. This is discussed in number 7 in the Pre-Proposal Summary as well.

3. Can the School District provide a list of switches and AP’s broken out per service loca7on, detailing the quan77es of each model at each site?

Data provided to Pre-Proposal conference aVendees

4. Will there be an extension allowed on the due date of 1/12/24 due to response of questions only being 5 days out from due date.

There will only be an extension if IWCS has a need that requires an extension. This was discussed in number 8 in the Pre-Proposal Summary
