About this file

This document is a Response to Clarifying Questions from Clackamas County's Department of Finance and Procurement & Contracting Services regarding RFP #2024-115 for Principal Real Estate Broker Services, dated December 19, 2024. The document addresses a single clarifying question about the scope of work related to working with residents to purchase tenant homes for affordable homeownership.

The clarification explains that the selected broker's duties will be limited to assisting with transactions where Housing Authority residents purchase Authority-owned homes they currently live in or other scattered site public housing properties owned by the Authority. The Housing Authority's Resident Services team will handle homeownership counseling and readiness preparation, not the selected broker. Additionally, the selected broker will not be responsible for assisting residents with purchasing properties not owned by the Authority.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS #2024-115

FOR PRINCIPAL REAL ESTATE BROKER SERVICES

RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS

December 19, 2024

Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to the above referenced solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the RFP as published.

1. The 1st item listed in Section 3.3.1 states: “Working with residents to purchase tenant homes for affordable homeownership.” Can you describe what duties will be involved in this line item?

Answer: The Housing Authority may elect for the selected broker to assist with transactions that include a Housing Authority resident purchasing the Authority-owned home they live in or another scattered site public housing property owned by the Authority. The Authority’s Resident Services team is connecting interested residents with homeownership counseling and readiness preparation, this will not be the responsibility of the selected broker. If a resident is purchasing a property that is not owned by the Authority, assistance with that transaction will not be the responsibility of the selected broker.
