Tri-City Lab HVAC and Fume Hood project
RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS #1
February 26, 2024
Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to the above referenced solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the RFP as published.
1. Page 7 describes the project scope, but it’s not entirely clear if any architectural work beyond re-roofing is anticipated as part of this package. Do you anticipate any modifications to doors, walls, interior finishes, etc as part of this project?
Answer: Based on the conceptual design work completed to-date, this project is not anticipated to require modifications to doors, walls, or interior finishes.
2. Would WES like to see an architect included on the design team?
Answer: WES does not anticipate this being a large need for the final design of this project but will defer to proposers to determine whether an architect is needed to support this project.
3. Objective 6 mentions a future “lab building remodel”. When is this project anticipated to start?
Answer: Per WES’s FY 2024/25 – 2028/29 Capital Improvement Plan, the full lab remodel is anticipated to be constructed along with the Tri-City Administration remodel project which is expected to begin in FY 2027/28.
