RFP 02-4101-27 Annual Services for Milling, Resurfacing, and Asphalt Paving
This Request for Proposal (RFP) document, issued by the City of Virginia, solicits contractor services for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to perform milling, resurfacing, and asphalt concrete placement on City-owned roadways. The contract encompasses annual services with the potential for ongoing road maintenance and infrastructure improvement projects throughout the City. The RFP establishes a competitive procurement process designed to identify qualified contractors capable of executing paving and resurfacing work on multiple roadway locations. The contract structure allows for flexibility in project scope and timing, accommodating the City's variable maintenance needs across its road network throughout the contract period.
The RFP establishes performance-based pricing and compensation terms whereby contractors submit rates and fees for specified work categories related to milling, resurfacing, and asphalt paving operations. The contract is structured to provide the City with sustained access to qualified paving contractors while maintaining competitive pricing mechanisms throughout the contract duration. This IDIQ procurement allows the City to issue task orders as funding becomes available and project priorities are identified, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for critical roadway maintenance. The contract term and renewal options provide for continuity in service delivery while permitting the City to evaluate contractor performance and competency before exercising renewal provisions or extending the contractual relationship.
