About this file

This is an addendum document issued by New Smyrna Beach Utilities in Florida for RFP No. 02-26, which solicits proposals for water well assessment and rehabilitation services on an as-needed basis. The addendum clarifies key specifications and requirements for prospective vendors licensed in the State of Florida. New Smyrna Beach Utilities issued Addendum No. 2 on November 21, 2025, addressing vendor inquiries regarding equipment preferences, treatment methodologies, and certification requirements. The document specifies that Grundfos pumps and motors are the preferred manufacturer for submersible equipment, alternative methods to ultra-low strength acidization may be considered, and NSF certification is mandatory for all acids used. Additionally, hydrofluorosilicic acid is prohibited due to Florida's state ban on fluoride in drinking water. The addendum confirms that no wells in the system have a history of difficulty passing bacteriological tests following proper disinfection procedures.

Vendors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning the provided form with their proposals. Award may be made to one or more firms, with no guaranteed quantity of work offered. The acknowledgment form requires the company name, respondent title, and signature to document receipt of the addendum as a condition of proposal submission.
