*****Requirements—Western Range Internet Protocol Network (WPN)*****

SLD 30 RM requires Operation, Maintenance, Sustainment (OM&S), and continuous integration support for the Western Range Internet Protocol Network (WPN): Next-Generation Communications Infrastructure for Space Launch and Testing.

The WPN is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based communications network designed to support the critical Launch & Test Range System (LTRS) mission at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB). Developed under the Western Range Modernization Network (WMN) project and achieving final Operational Acceptance (OA) in October 2024, the WPN serves as the primary Communications Subsystem (CMSS) network for the Western Range (WR).

The WPN provides seamless and robust communications connectivity between diverse elements of the Range, Range operators, and both on- and off-Range customers. By converting communications transport to an IPv6 and IPv4-compatible IP infrastructure, the WPN enables the modernization of other LTRS subsystems that interface with the CMSS, paving the way for enhanced capabilities and future growth.

The IPv6 network is a vital communications backbone supporting a wide array of mission-critical activities across geographically dispersed locations. Currently, it supports operations at:

- Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB)

- Pillar Point Air Force Station (PPAFS)

- Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) Point Mugu

- Santa Ynez Peak (SYP)

- Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB)

- San Nicolas Island (SNI)

Interested parties may review the attached draft PWS and provide feedback and comments (NOT TO EXCEED 10 PAGES). Your input is valuable in ensuring that the PWS is clear, comprehensive, and achievable, ultimately leading to the successful execution of the WMN requirement.

*****Questions*****
