About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Air Force, 633rd Contracting Squadron at Langley Air Force Base for an Environmental Control Work Booth/Sanding Booth (NAICS Code 332312). The RFI is for market research purposes only and will not result in a contract award. The Government seeks industry feedback on the availability of qualified sources capable of providing a fully self-contained environmental control booth designed to collect hexavalent chromium particulate with HEPA safety after-filters and recirculate filtered air to support energy conservation. The booth must be comparable to the current system in use by the 1st Fighter Wing for aircraft component preparation in a new Low Observable Consolidated Hangar and must integrate with new outlets being installed by the MAC contractor. The system should provide deployable, ready-to-use capability at substantially lower cost than permanent safety stands.
Responses must be submitted as email attachments on company letterhead to the primary point of contact, Kelly Voigts (kelly.voigts.3@us.af.mil), no later than November 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST. All questions must be submitted by November 6, 2026. The Government requests feedback on: the draft Statement of Requirements; whether twelve to fourteen weeks after receipt of order (ARO) is sufficient delivery time; and any other considerations necessary for providing a quote. A site visit is scheduled for November 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST for interested companies to view the installation location. All response costs are the responsibility of interested parties, and respondents will not receive notification of market research results. The secondary point of contact is Margaret Young, Contracting Officer (margaret.young.6@us.af.mil, 757-225-5668).

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)
RFI- FA4800-27-Q-0005
633rd CONTRACTING SQUADRON
Issue Date: 26 October 2026 Response Due Date: 13 November 2026, 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST)
NAICS Code: 332312- Environmental Control Work Booth/ Sanding Booth
Subject: Request for Information (RFI) – Environmental Control Work Booth/ Sanding Booth.
Description:
The 633rd Contracting Squadron at Langley Air Force Base is seeking feedback from capable companies and entities that can provide an Environmental Control Work Booth/Sanding Booth in accordance with the specifications outlined in Attachment 1, Statement of Requirements.
Background:
The 1st Fighter Wing is constructing a new Low Observable Consolidated Hangar that requires a dedicated standing and preparation area for aircraft components. The required Environmental Control Work Booth/Sanding Booth must be capable of collecting hexavalent chromium particulate and include high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) safety after-filters.
The booth must be fully self-contained and designed to recirculate filtered air back into the shop to support energy conservation. The required system should be comparable to the unit currently in use, while incorporating design improvements made since the previous unit was purchased.
The 1st Maintenance Group has evaluated the current system over several years and determined it to be effective and to present no unacceptable risk to the F-22 during use. The system provides deployable, ready-to-use capability for the warfighter, unlike the more permanent safety stands used by Lockheed Martin, and does so at a substantially lower cost.
Additionally, the system must integrate with the new outlets being installed by the MAC contractor.

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION. IT IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH
