About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) from DLA Troop Support seeks market research regarding Medical Nutrition Supplement (MNS) procurement for military and federally funded customers. The MNS would be used in combination with Unitized Group Rations (UGR) to provide modified diets for patients in Armed Forces medical treatment facilities in field environments. The requirements include sourcing, assembling, and delivering food and beverage components packaged in three-box modules, with components including protein beverages, electrolyte drinks, instant breakfast, broths, gelatin, puddings, thickeners, and disposable items.
Responses are due by March 3, 2025 and should be emailed to three specified DLA points of contact. Vendors must provide company information, describe relevant experience, indicate ability to manage a fixed-price long-term contract of 2+ years, estimate assembly timeframes for 100 MNS modules, and state intention to bid if a solicitation is issued. Each MNS module consists of three shipping containers arranged in a specific loading sequence, with six containers fitting on one tier of a standard 40x48-inch pallet, four tiers per pallet. No demand projections are currently available, and this RFI does not constitute a commitment from the government.
