The RFI requires a single-patient chamber capable of hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments up to 3 Atmosphere Absolute Pressure, with specific technical requirements including FDA approval, 220V/50Hz power compatibility, two-way communication system, and a stretcher. Vendors must provide detailed equipment specifications, delivery and installation capabilities, training (in Spanish), and approximate pricing.

The RFI submission deadline is June 24th, 2025 at 5:00 pm EST, with responses to be emailed to Christine Welker and Cheryl Zekas. Vendors are asked to address specific questions about equipment details, delivery/installation feasibility in Chile, usage parameters, power specifications, warranty, and pricing. This is strictly a market research effort and does not constitute a solicitation, with the government reserving the right to use submitted information in future acquisition documents without identifying the source. No contract award is anticipated from this RFI, and respondents will not be compensated for their submissions.

This requirement includes the delivery, installation, and training on how to use the chamber which will be located in Taltal, Antofagasta, Chile. The Monoplace Hyperbaric Chamber will be used in treating patients via hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This Hyperbaric Chamber will need delivery, installation and training in Chile. The minimum requirements are listed below:

ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS (ECs): The Hyperbaric Chamber for treating patients via hyperbaric oxygen therapy, shall meet the following requirements:

Physical Requirements for Hyperbaric Chamber

1. Chamber must be able to accommodate a single, adult patient.

2. Hyperbaric oxygenation medical treatments (therapies) will be under controlled conditions, in a medical oxygen environment at pressures up to 3 Atmosphere Absolute Pressure (ATA).

3. Maximum working pressure: 3 ATA (30 pounds per square inch (psi)).

4. Equipment must be complaint with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), PVHO-1 standards.

5. Chamber should have adequate visibility of the outside, reducing the feeling of confinement.

6. Chamber must be able to function normally with an operating temperature between 10º and 38º C and take into consideration the site’s altitude (i.e. air pressure) in meeting the specs mentioned above.

7. A stretcher must be included with the chamber.

8. Chamber needs a two-way communication system.

9. Chamber must be approved, cleared, or registered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), if applicable.

10. All equipment must be able to operate on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz per the Country of Chile requirement and must be indicated as such.

11. The contractor shall provide training for the necessary operation and maintenance of the equipment.

12. Training must be in Spanish

13. The Contractor shall be responsible for the physical movement of the equipment from the point of entry in Chile to the area of installation (final destination), and for the subsequent uncrating of the equipment.

SUBMISSION PACKAGE: The submission package should address the following questions:

1) Vendor Name:

2) Please provide the specific details of the equipment you offer for this requirement such as data sheets, equipment specifications and the diameter size of the Chamber.

3) This equipment must be delivered and installed in the Country of Chile. The vendor must also provide training. Are you able to deliver, install and provide any required training for this equipment in Chile? If yes, please briefly discuss how you will support this requirement.

4) Please provide the maximum usage parameters; such as height and weight.

5) Do you offer the equipment with the required power specification listed above?

6) What is the normal commercial warranty for this equipment?

7) What would approximate pricing be for this requirement in its entirety (unit, delivery, installation, shipping, etc)?
