For shipping, vendors must include all standard shipping costs (defined as 5-day delivery) in their pricing, while expedited shipping can be charged separately to purchasers. Additional shipping charges for oversized/overweight items must be identified during the ordering process and approved by the purchaser. The contract will require FOB destination terms, with will-call pickup available within two business days of order receipt. Vendors must also indicate their ability to provide specified manufacturers or equal/better alternatives for all items in the market basket across all three categories.

Businesses’ Response/Comments
“Standard Shipping ” is defined as standard shipping or freight charges that is shipped within five (5) business days.
Please identify any concern with the expectation of Standard Shipping:
| No shipping charges allowed to the Purchaser as a line item – Shipping costs must be included in the % percentage Bidder’s provide |
“Expedited Shipping” is defined as rush or expedited shipping that is not considered standard shipping or next day shipping.
Any Rush or Expedited Delivery or Shipping that occurs as a result of the Contractor’s error will be shipped or delivered free of charge to Purchaser
| Shipping costs would be passed on to the Purchaser as a separate line item, unless due to Contractor’s error. |
“Additional Shipping Charges” as defined by the Contractor, for oversized or overweight items that require special shipping or freight charges/costs must be identified as part of the ordering process. These charges may be allowed by the Purchaser as a separate line item.
A. Please identify any exceptions where the Bidder would request Purchaser to pay for shipping costs (excluding Rush or Expedited shipping costs).
B. Explain how Bidder would identify any such item and how the Bidder would NOTE – Shipping Costs was not included in the Bid Price % for Electrical Items x,y,z, as these items oversized and Shipping Costs would be added as a separate line item.
C. Explain WHY Bidder is unable to provide their % Bid Price rate to include all shipping costs regardless of whether the Electrical item may be oversized and/or overweight.
What Category and what specific Electrical Product/Item(s) would be considered oversized and/or overweight (review the Market Basket for info on types of products, etc), where Bidder would want to require Purchaser to pay for shipping? If there was no allowance for any shipping charges to be passed on to the Purchase, except under Expedited, explain if there is an issue with this approach.
Provide responses for A, B, and C and also provide very specific in the Response/Comment column.
