About this file

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks potential repair sources for the C-130J TACAN Radio Control Set (NSN 5826-01-439-2708, Part Number 622-5147-00). The Air Force is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of repairing this critical component used in combat search and rescue operations. The repair services strategy involves a five-year contract (1-year base with four 1-year option periods) continuing through FY31, with repair quantities based on Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ).

The RFI requires detailed responses from potential contractors, including company information, repair capabilities, quality assurance processes, and technical expertise. Respondents must demonstrate ability to repair similar components, provide commercial manuals and test procedures, and address challenges such as limited technical documentation. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, with joint ventures and teaming arrangements welcomed. Responses must be submitted via email to the Government Logistics Manager, with a specific deadline to be determined, and participation does not guarantee future contract awards.
