About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Army seeking industry partners for a proposed Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Innovation Hub at Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD). The hub aims to accelerate UAS technology development through partnerships with industry, academia, and innovators, focusing on capabilities in artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and autonomous systems. Key objectives include conducting small UAS flight testing, creating realistic training environments, developing autonomous navigation algorithms, and enabling public-private partnerships.
Interested businesses are invited to submit responses by January 28, 2026, with a prior site survey scheduled for January 21, 2026. Respondents must provide detailed business information and capabilities, including past UAS system experience, collaboration history, MOSA expertise, AI specializations, and innovation assessments. The RFI targets companies with NAICS code 541330 (Engineering Services) and welcomes responses from small businesses, woman-owned, veteran-owned, 8(a), and HUBZone firms. Submissions should be electronically sent to ArmySkyFoundry@army.mil, not exceeding 15 pages, with a specific email subject format. No reimbursement will be provided for response preparation, and this RFI does not guarantee future contract opportunities.
