About this file

This document is a workflow diagram detailing the Content Management System (CMS) process for patent application documents after a Notice of Allowance (NOA). The workflow illustrates the data export and management process from the USPTO to a publication vendor, encompassing multiple document types and stages including Initial Data Capture (IDC) and Final Data Capture (FDC).

Key components of the workflow include exporting various patent-related documents such as drawings, claims, specifications, abstracts, sequence listings, office actions, and bibliographic data. The process involves daily document reporting through a DREAD Report, which provides an Excel spreadsheet of newly ingested documents. Additional details include verification of bibliographic data, timing checks, and handling of petitions and supplemental information. The workflow highlights the systematic transfer of patent application documents between the Content Management System and the publication vendor, with specific export protocols for different stages of patent processing.
