About this file

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier's Soldier Medical Devices (SMD) office, seeking market research for a commercially available maintenance tool kit for Siemens computed tomography (CT) machines to be used by Army biomedical technicians. The RFI requests potential vendors to provide white paper responses addressing specific requirements, including delivery schedule, Berry Compliance, quality standards (ISO 9001-2015), and a rough cost estimate for tool kit assembly. Submissions must be electronically sent to Patrick J. Wallace and Trish R Scott by the deadline listed on SAM.gov, with vendors required to complete a detailed logistics and integrated product support questionnaire covering packaging, handling, storage, and transportation specifications.

The RFI emphasizes that this is purely a market research effort and does not constitute a solicitation, with responses not forming a binding contract. Vendors are expected to provide information about their ability to create a maintenance tool kit that can operate in austere environments and be supported by Army Biomedical Equipment Specialists. Key questions for vendors include potential delivery timelines, product compliance, quality certifications, and approximate assembly and production costs. Electronic submissions are mandatory, and no phone calls or solicitation requests will be entertained at this stage.
