About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center to conduct market research on advanced uncooled thermal sensor integration efforts. The RFI seeks vendor capabilities and technologies for integrating next-generation, lens-less uncooled thermal sensors (to be Government Furnished Equipment) into optimized prototype systems demonstrating Technology Readiness Level 6 or higher in relevant environments. Respondents should propose complete systems or individual capabilities addressing low Size, Weight, and Power and Cost (SWaP-C) requirements and must demonstrate relevant experience integrating electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors into prototype systems or Programs of Record.
Responses must be submitted within 30 calendar days of RFI release and limited to five pages, with unclassified submissions sent to usarmy.apg.devcom-c5isr.mbx.rti-industry-engagement@army.mil. Required company information includes business designation, CAGE code, facility clearance level, and Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification. Technical submissions should address existing or modified technologies, relevant EO/IR integration experience, innovative solutions with timelines, technology maturity assessments, and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs for integration and prototype quantities. Additional controlled technical details are available through JCP certification in Attachment 01. Questions must be submitted in writing within five calendar days of RFI posting. The Government emphasizes this RFI is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award; no reimbursement will be provided for response costs. Evaluation results may inform whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses.

APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE
Advanced Uncooled Thermal Integration Efforts Request for Information (RFI) Background:
The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center is performing market research to inform future system level requirements and/or prototype development/build efforts which integrate next generation uncooled thermal sensors. The desired systems shall incorporate Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) thermal sensors. These thermal sensors will be compliant with a TBD Interface Control Document and will be lens-less. The system integrators will need to design an appropriate lens for the application that will interface with the sensors to demonstrate the advanced capability and prove out Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6+ by being assessed in a relevant environment. Responses including complete systems and/or individual capabilities/expertise listed below are welcome. Proposed systems should focus on showcasing these advanced sensors in systems that are optimized for low Size, Weight, and Power and Cost (SWaP-C).
Requested Information:
The C5ISR Center requests the following information:
1. Company Information
· Company Name
· Business designation (Traditional, Nontraditional).
· Company Address
· RFI Technical POC Name, Email Address, and Phone number
· RFI Business/Contract POC Name, Email Address, and Phone number
· CAGE Code
· Facility Clearance Level
· Joint Certification Program (JCP) DD Form 2345 (JCP Home (dla.mil))
2. Technical Information
The technical information is contained in a CUI attachment. See directions below on how to request access.
Submission Requirements:
Submission of vendor capabilities and technologies which relate to the RFI.
a. Existing technology and how it addresses the requirements or how it can be modified to address the requirements.
b. Relevant experience in integrating EO/IR sensors into Prototype Systems, especially in the areas defined above. Detail any relevant expertise with EO/IR integration related to any Program of Record or fielded systems and how it relates to the areas defined above or offers risk reduction.
c. Innovative/novel solutions for addressing requirements or planned research in the technology areas along with timelines to expected deliverables.
d. Assessment of the Technical Maturity/Technology Readiness Level of technology.
e. Submission of a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost to meet the desired integration timelines and prototype quantities or to provide the specific capabilities detailed below.
f. Any comments, questions, or concerns regarding the requested sensor integration and prototype build or on the other capabilities requested.
Submission Instructions:
All documents shall be portion marked IAW DoDM 5200.01-V2. Submission of proprietary and other sensitive information shall be marked and identified with disposition instructions (submitted material will not be returned).
