About this file
This document is Addendum #2 for a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) regarding a GIS Utility Network Migration project. The addendum provides detailed responses to six specific questions from potential bidders about KUA's current technical environment, system integrations, and migration plans. The document clarifies KUA's existing systems, including their use of Cogsdale (built on Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains), Schneider Electric's Designer, ArcFM Session Manager, and various data exchange methodologies between GIS and other enterprise systems.
The addendum reveals that KUA does not currently have a true work order/construction design workflow management solution and plans to carry over existing Facility IDs from the Geometric Network to the Utility Network. KUA is open to including additional assets like substations, fiber, and PV systems in the new ESRI version. The systems currently integrated with GIS include CIS, Designer, Cogsdale, ArcGIS/ArcFM, Responder OMS (to be replaced in 2025 with EcoStruxure Grid Operation), and Synergi. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning a form with their bid response, with the full RFP anticipated to be released in the summer of 2025.

I. QUESTIONS
Q1. What does KUA currently use for Work Order/Construction Design workflow management?
A1. KUA does not have a true work order/construction design workflow management solution. We do use Cogsdale, built on Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains as well as Schneider Electric’s Designer.
Q2. Is KUA using Schneider`s GDBM application? (Job Design workflow, Session management, Posting to Default)
A2. KUA does not currently use Schneider’s GDBM application. We do employ ArcFM Session Manager and Designer Workflow Manager.
Q3. What are the current tools\technologies used to exchange data between GIS and other enterprise systems?
A3. • CIS and GIS – SQL View/Flat File
• Designer and Cogsdale – Code provided by Cogsdale
• ArcGIS/ArcFM and Responder OMS (to be replaced in 2025 with
EcoStruxure Grid Operation) – Configurable interface provided by Schneider Electric
Q4. Could you provide some details around KUA current systems integrated with
GIS?
