About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Florida Department of Education for a cloud-hosted Learning Management System (LMS) capable of providing training for Department and District personnel, as well as annual Office of Safe Schools training. The LMS must integrate with the Department's Single Sign On solution (Azure AD) and other systems. This RFI is not a request for competitive bids or proposals, and no contract will be awarded in response to submissions. The RFI seeks to determine if there are companies in the marketplace that can provide the requested LMS solution, which should be capable of supporting 40,000-60,000 users, scalable to 100,000 or more, and provide a highly available, reliable training platform with hands-on customer support. The Department is interested in solutions that can integrate with Microsoft Teams and support a combination of online training, quizzes, certifications, and live/in-person sessions. The Department does not have a current consolidated LMS system and is aiming to implement the new solution as soon as possible.
The Department does not have a set budget for this project and is not requiring data migration from a current LMS, as there is no existing consolidated system. The Department is open to cloud-hosted solutions and is interested in 3rd party content to be included in the proposed solutions. The Department's primary goal is to utilize a single vendor-managed solution for the Office of Safe Schools annual trainings, which will correlate job roles with required courses and allow trainees to self-select training based on their roles.
