About this file

This Request for Information (RFI #2021-001) is issued by Palm Beach County Facilities Development & Operations Department to solicit vendor information regarding emergency notification system software and technology for county government buildings. The RFI seeks comprehensive information about full-service vendor solutions that include installation, maintenance, and operations of emergency notification systems designed to enhance safety and security during active shooter incidents and other emergencies. The system should integrate with existing video surveillance, provide situational awareness capabilities, and assist first responders in emergency response. Responses were due on February 10, 2021, submitted in PDF format to the Palm Beach County Purchasing Department. This RFI is informational and planning-focused only; Palm Beach County may use the responses to inform a future solicitation but makes no commitment to award a contract based on RFI responses.

The RFI requests detailed information on installation costs, service costs, software specifications, hardware compatibility, customization capabilities, maintenance and support procedures, data storage and security protocols, and available pricing models including lease, subscription, and purchase options. Vendors must provide information about their firm qualifications, experience with comparable clients, licensing and certifications, implementation timelines, training plans, and contract terms including termination rights and post-termination obligations. The RFI emphasizes that respondents bear all expenses for submitting responses, PBC will not pay for information received, and responses may be subject to disclosure under Florida Public Records Law unless marked as confidential with appropriate statutory justification.
