THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and market research planning purposes; it does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regards to its submission; other than acknowledgment of receipt – ONLY IF a request for an acknowledgement is requested by the submitter. 1.0 DESCRIPTION
The DOL Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP) is conducting market research for an upcoming procurement requirement titled Site Exposure Matrices (SEM) for the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC). This procurement will involve maintaining, updating and providing subject matter expertise on the contents of a comprehensive relational database containing information about the occupational use of toxic substances at major Department of Energy (DOE) facilities and uranium sites covered under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA or Act).
The Government seeks industry feedback and questions related to the technical characteristics described herein. DOL may elect to ask one or more vendors to provide a demonstration of and answer questions about their product(s) after receiving the input from this RFI.
2.0 PURPOSE OF THIS RFI
Through this RFI, DOL intends to use vendor responses to gather market related information regarding the commercial availability and viability of vendors’ solutions. Input received from the RFI may be used to determine next steps, which may include a subsequent solicitation. The DOL encourages the vendor community to respond to this RFI to provide their feedback and insight to the Department of Labor. DOL appreciates the time and effort spent on this response. Please do not simply submit a generic capability statement. We are seeking vendors that are serious about this requirement and can potentially provide the capabilities the Department is seeking as described in the Capability Statement - Section 3.0 below.
This request for information will provide useful information on available vendors and the types of services available in this particular market.
