About this file

This is an Addendum Number One to a Request for Bids (RFB) issued by the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) for audio/visual classroom technology systems. The original RFB was dated April 24, 2018, with the addendum issued on May 1, 2018. The bid due date remains May 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The addendum modifies microphone specifications for the Culinary Arts classroom system, changing the requirement from one handheld microphone and one lapel microphone to two lapel style microphones. Additionally, the addendum introduces a new project scope for upgrading the LISD TECH Center Conference Room West's audio/visual system. This upgrade will replace existing component video technology with HDMI connectivity, integrate the system with an existing SX10 Video Conference Unit, upgrade the faceplate to include a network data port, and program a new A/V Freeze function to control all video and audio inputs from a single button.

The selected vendor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary to complete both projects. The Conference Room system must include securely mounted switching and audio amplification equipment concealed in an enclosure near the display device, active interface panels throughout the room, plenum-rated CAT 6 shielded twisted pair cabling, an integrated audio video system with an easy-to-operate control panel near the instructor area, and network-capable system monitoring and control capabilities. The audio system may be configured as monaural or stereo for voice and program sound. The addendum does not specify pricing terms, funding sources, or contract term details.

REQUEST FOR BIDS

ADDENDUM NUMBER ONE

Date of Original RFP: April 24, 2018

Date of Addendum Number One: May 1, 2018 Due Date for Bids: May 8, 2018 @ 11:00 AM (no change from original RFP)

Culinary Arts Classroom Microphones In the original request for bids, the LISD did not identify the kind of microphones that were required for the LISD Culinary Arts classroom system, however, during the onsite walk-through it was specified that the LISD required a single hand-held microphone and a single lapel style microphone. The LISD would actually like to have two lapel style microphones included as part of the Culinary Arts classroom system and no handheld microphones.

LISD TECH Center Conference Room 120 A/V System The LISD would also like to add audio/visual classroom technology systems for a LISD TECH Center conference room. The LISD seeks upgrade existing Extron audio and video technology system in the LISD TECH Center’s Conference Room West. The audio visual technology system will replace existing component video with HDMI. Connect and program new HDMI input directly to SX10 Video Conference Unit. Replace composite face plate with network data port face plate. Program blank Extron input button to “A/V Freeze” all inputs, allowing all video freeze on the display screen and audio to be muted.

The selected vendor will furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary to install and configure a complete audiovisual system.

The system switching and audio amplification equipment shall be securely mounted and concealed in an enclosure mounted in close proximity to the display device. Audio and image source equipment must be capable of being connected to the system and displayed via active interface panels located throughout the room. The audio and image signals from source devices shall be transmitted from the active interface panels over plenum rated, CAT 6 shielded twisted pair cabling architecture.

The selected vendor will also provide and install an integrated audio video system. System controls must be provided by an easy to operate control panel located near the instructor area in a location to be identified by the LISD. The audio system may be monaural or stereo for voice and program sound.

System parameters shall be capable of being monitored administered and controlled over the data network.
